How to use quick guide for door staff

Getting started

Pick your event. Open the menu (☰) → Events, and tap tonight's show. Every device at the door picks the same event.

Allow the camera. On the Scanner screen your phone/iPad will ask for camera access — tap Allow. No camera? Use Manual input instead.

Point at the QR code. Hold the guest's ticket 15–25cm from the camera. It reads automatically — no button to press.

What the colours mean

Clay — valid ticket. Shows the name and type. Tap CHECK IN to admit, or Cancel. Nothing is saved until you tap CHECK IN.
Green — checked in. Guest is now inside and the counter goes up.
!
Amber — already used. This ticket already came through (shows when). A small "Undo check-in" sits top-left if it was a mistake.
Red — not valid. Fake ticket, or a ticket for a different show.

The bottom buttons

Guest list. Search anyone by name or ticket number, and tap them to check in — handy when a QR won't scan.

Manual input. Type the ticket number if the QR is damaged or won't load.
Door sale. A walk-in paying at the door? Enter their name and phone (both required) and Add & Check in. They're saved to the list with a new ticket number.

Good to know

Undo is safe. Undoing a check-in asks you to confirm twice before it changes anything.
First scan is slow. The very first scan after a quiet spell can take a few seconds while the system wakes up. That's normal.

Needs internet. Keep the device on Wi-Fi or data. "No connection" means try again once you're back online.
